Imagine the first pitch as a Linux of search engines - an open source platform where the crowd can merge their search algorithm to create tailored search engines adopted to the individual need. And believe or not this platform exists already and is called Buscaplus - an exciting Spanish start-up. The founder JorgeAlegre gave us some very interesting insights on this visionary project.
The need for customizable search for the rapidly growing growing content online - intuitively seems to be something the world is desperately waiting for. Currently the start-up is focused on the Spanish market. But they are eying to enter other cultural hemispheres as well. The young start-up is looking for ambitious developers and marketing specialists.
The second very promising pitch was by Kave from Argentina. He was part of the founding team of Cramster and is also the CEO & CoFounder of Liquiddesigners. His current - even more promising - project "UniLanguage" is the third startup in his vita. The very exciting new tool for language learning goes one step further beyond the idea of social learning and tries to add value with a number of new innovative learning methods tackling multiple intelligences. With a very interessting monetization concept that is based on local incomes, a very experienced core team and the development based in Argentina make UniLanguage definitely potential big player. Currently they are searching for Angels in the Silicon Valley.
The third and last pitch was by Satyajit Sahu with "Got Clues" - a standalone website to create and take quizzes that incorporate various forms of media..
The platform provides quiz creators with a powerful tool to create highly customized quizzes. Since numerous Quiz apps are currently flooding facebook with huge success in generating revenue through advertisement - a standalone application with additional features seems like a good bet. The two person team with more than a decade experience in the Silicon Valley is currently searching for people who can help with marketing.
