Laughing is good for you! And this "Pitch your Startup!" session had most likely the most laughs of all thx to Abdul Karriem Kahn - a very interessting Tech Guru from the valley. Also special thx to Stefano Bernadi from thestartup.eu who supported me again as a judge. Keep an eye on his blog in the next weeks. He will be launching a very interessting program for entrepreneurs on Startup School.
The session had three very different but very interessting ideas this time.
First Gordon Oppenheimer pitched his idea of an online directory for teachers and parents called OurStudents.info. A slim and practical tool bringing the PTA online. There is a number of ideas he has to leverage the community for various business models. If you are interessted I recommend to watch his pitch. He is welcoming every kind of feedback.
Juan Juan came second with a wonderful niche product targeting the 4 Million Filipino People in the US. The site is combining successful practices of social networks, business directories and online news to a compelling site that shall unite the Filipino Community in the US and abroad. Juan certainly a has good experience and a lot of drive for this project. If you are looking for an investment - don't hesitate to get in touch with Juan to find out more.
Jason Katzer had his second debut on Startup School pitching his current venture Eatmylunch.com and Lunch30.com. Two wonderfully helpful pages that make your daily life easier by helping you to find the right place to eat lunch plus letting you order online. If you know restaurants that are interessted in distributing online in the US - eatmylunch is a quick and convenient way to outsource your online checkout system and to get online promotion
